Matt really stole the show this past weekend during my latest vintage style portrait shoot. We had a blast doing these photos and I have so many photos with Matt laughing during this shoot they might make for a post all their own
Some BTS ( behind the scenes) action from yesterday’s vintage portrait session at OnTrack studios in Franklin. A great way to spend an afternoon and a great group of people to spend it with.
Thanks to Carmen for being our BTS photographer!
This vintage Hollywood style portrait of Stacy was just begging for a little toning. A hint of yellow hue here really amps up the mood and adds a nice touch of warmth while Stacy’s distant gaze holds a story all its own.
Here’s some “cross-processing” action from one of my sessions with the lovely Courtenay L. Court’s a rock star in front of the camera and it shows. This particular image was taken in East Nashville and while I like the original shot, I wanted to give it some punch.
The end result is a crunchy, “false” color look reminiscent of processing E6 slide film in color negative chemistry. The out of focus areas end up with a painterly sort of look.
Brianna totally owned the space in front of my camera during our recent vintage style session. She brought a fantastic energy to the afternoon and totally committed to the theme of the shoot. Thanks so much, Brianna! 🙂
When creating a vintage style portrait, lighting and post processing is important, but the right attitude from the subject will make or break the image. In this photo Rebecca definitely completes the look. She is so striking in this image it’s difficult to look away.
