Carlos here is lookin’ sharp for his headshot session. He showed up with his A-Game for his session. Too many good ones to make an easy pick!
Reaching back into my film days with this shot of Karla end Erol. This was taken in an alley off of Second Ave in downtown Nashville in the 90’s using a Kiev 88 camera with a 150 2.8 lens. The scan isn’t great but I always liked this shot. I have to say I miss shooting square format and the Kiev88 was an interesting camera (and a little quirky). ⠀
Courtenay knows how to set a mood and can “flip the switch” in an instant. She brings an amazing sense of drama to this image. On the technical side this is lit with a single strobe in a 20″ beauty dish with a grid providing a nice tight circle of light. The sharp eyed viewer may note that her hands are cropped in this shot which is usually a “no-no”. In this case it adds to the moodiness here by throwing a bit of un-setteledness (is that a word?) to the overall feel of the image.
Kaleigh is one of those people who just lights up the space around her. She brings this amazing combination of beauty and peace to this image and I was so fortunate to be there to capture this. Looking forward to shooting with her and her family this summer.
Today’s image is no throwback as it was captured just two days ago as part of a group session. Dianne’s energy and attitude jumped out at me as soon she stepped in front of my camera. I was sure one of her shots was going to land in this space and here she is. Great working with you, Dianne!
Liz brings this great balance of beauty and intensity here from our outdoor headshot session. It is definitely s step outside my usual style for a headshot and that’s part of what I really like about this image. We need to shoot again soon, Liz!
