Headshot of the Week! for September 10th is an Angel. Well she’s Angel in name for sure and she’s got bright, angelic eyes so who am I to say that her name isn’t also a very apt description. 🙂 This headshot came from a group shoot so of course we didn’t have much time to get this shot. Angel had no problem getting into the groove though and I ended up having three images to decide between before landing on this one. Great working with you, Angel!
Welcome to September and the first Headshot of the Week! of the month. Last week I posted three shots for headshot of the week and this week’s series takes it up to four. Alexie is quite the character and and I felt it wouldn’t be right to not show some of the many faces Alexie shared doing his shoot. It’s obvious he’s comfortable in front of the camera and his colleagues at the Clay Lady Campus. I wasn’t even going to try to find a favorite so here they are. Thanks Alexie!
So this Headshot of the Week! was a tough one as I just couldn’t decide on just one image from this recent group session. We had less than five minutes to shoot together but Gloria just stepped in front of the camera and crushed it! In the end I couldn’t decide between the three photos shown. Gloria has a great smile and can bring it in big and small varieties as you can see. I also couldn’t decide between glasses or no glasses so this Headshot of the Week! has turned into a “three-fer”.
This week, Chase shows us how it’s done for Headshot of the Week! for August 20th, 2018. Chase’s image shows that glasses can be included in a headshot without causing distracting glare. I usually ask my clients if they prefer glasses or not in their images and they more often than not ask to go without. I like to encourage them to do some images with them on just to see and they are sometimes surprised how good their glasses appear in the images. The right lighting can make a huge difference and lets people who wear their glasses most of the time appear with them on in their headshot. Great job here, Chase!
I love it when a client brings their “A-Game” to a shoot, especially when it’s part of a group shoot and you only have a a few minutes to get “the shot”. In this Headshot of the Week! Amber W. just stepped up an crushed it! A great smile and bright, engaged eyes are something that can take dozens of shots to get just right. In this case we captured this one only ten images in! Great job here, Amber!
Kicking off August for 2018 is my colleague, Jimmy H. This headshot of the week comes from a group shoot I did last week for several of my HCA colleagues. I was hoping one (if not more) of the images from this session would find its way way here to HotW! and I wasn’t disappointed. Jimmy is shown here giving me that perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness I’m often looking for in professional business headshots. Great job, Jimmy!
